The conscious man: Intentional relating circle

Tuesday, September 8th From 6:30pm

Hosted by: Matthew Oakes

Cost: Love Donations are Greatly Appreciated

This group is a space for men for healing, growth, and reconnecting with healthy masculine energy. Together, we explore what it means to lead with strength, integrity, and presence, while working through the patterns and wounds that have shaped us.

Together, we do the work of unlearning what no longer serves us and building something more intentional. Through honest conversation, accountability, and intentional relating, we develop strength, emotional awareness, and presence. This is a space to face ourselves, support one another, and step into a more authentic way of living and relating.

Let the Leaves Fall: Living the Autumn Life

Wednesday, September 9th From 7:00pm-8:30PM

Hosted by: Vanessa Grace

Price : $30

The colors of Autumn are inviting you deeper, to peek beneath the layers of leaves, and discover the meaning of Autumn in our lives.

How do we Live the Season of Autumn?

Autumn is the transition between the yang, outward focused, high pace of summer and the yin, inward focused slow pace of winter.  Intentionally choosing to uplift and contemplate the How of this adjustment is central to Autumn and her themes.

She beckons a slower pace, to be Warm.  Release.  End and Wrap up.  Harvest.  Store up for Winter—in our bodies and homes.  In our time together we will focus specifically on two of the themes—release, and end/wrap up.  These were curated as they subtracted and created space in life.  Our culture tends to encourage adding more.  The practice of creating space through these autumn themes will help us prepare for the purposes of winter.

What you’ll learn:

The deeper purposes of living Autumn

How living Autumn prepares you to deeply live your Winter

The art of releasing

The significance of endings and wrapping up

What to Expect:

A seasonal guided meditation

Leaf Release Ritual

Journaling opportunity on endings and wrapping up

All participants will receive my FREE digital workbook Autumn Goddess Guidebook, which includes a deeper spectrum of insights about living the season of Autumn.

What would it feel like to finally free yourself from the way you’ve been taught to see your body?

Free Yourself is an embodiment dance experience inviting you to release the judgment, comparison, expectations, and stories you’ve carried about your body.

Through guided meditation, mirror work, intuitive movement, and music, we’ll create space to reconnect with your body and begin seeing yourself through a different lens.

Not the lens of perfection.
Not the lens of comparison.
Not through someone else’s eyes.

Your eyes.

You don’t have to change your body to love it.
You don’t have to love every part of yourself to appreciate the body that carries you.
You simply have to give yourself permission to be seen.

Come move.
Come feel.
Come take up space.
Come release what has been keeping you from yourself.

Free yourself from the judgment.
Free yourself from comparison.

Writing for Healing

SAturday, September 26 From 1:00pm-2:00pm

Hosted by: Charlotte Chipperfield

Cost: $35

A guided writing workshop for processing, reflecting, and making meaning through the page.

There are experiences we carry long after they happen. They are memories and experiences that we haven't fully processed, words we never said, moments we still find ourselves returning to. Writing can give us a place to meet those experiences with curiosity, compassion, and intention.

In this intimate, guided workshop, we'll use writing as a tool for reflection and meaning-making. Through a series of carefully designed prompts, you'll explore what you're carrying, connect with the stories beneath it, and discover what you may understand differently now.

You don't need to consider yourself a writer, and you won't be expected to share anything you're not ready to share. There is no pressure to produce polished writing or tell your whole story. Instead, you'll be invited to write privately, at your own pace, with opportunities to share only if and when you choose.

Together, we'll explore how writing can help us notice what we're feeling, protect our boundaries, shape difficult experiences into language, and decide what we want to carry forward.

You'll leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of something you've been carrying
  • New ways to approach difficult (or joyful) experiences through writing
  • Guided writing prompts you can return to on your own
  • Time and space to reflect without judgment or expectation
  • A piece of writing that belongs entirely to you

This is not therapy or a substitute for professional mental health care. It is a supportive creative writing experience designed to give you space to reflect, write, and make meaning from your own story.

No writing experience necessary.

Community Cuddles

An embodied consent and relational skills workshop culminating in optional, consensual community cuddling

Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

Soul Ascension Studio • Vancouver, Washington

After a warmly received first gathering in August, Community Cuddles returns to Vancouver for another afternoon of connection, choice, and consent-centered community.

Get Tickets

https://events.humanitix.com/community-cuddles-portland-vancouver

Your RSVP does not complete your registration to Community Cuddles

Community Cuddles is a three-hour experiential workshop where you can practice consent, boundaries, authentic communication, and relational presence while experiencing what can become possible through safe, respectful human connection.

Through carefully guided activities, you will be invited to notice and communicate your authentic “yes” and “no,” make clear requests, receive another person’s response without pressure, and discover that changing your mind is always welcome.

Although the workshop culminates in an opportunity for community cuddling, cuddling is never required. The heart of Community Cuddles is learning to listen to your body, honor your own boundaries, and relate to others with clarity, care, and enthusiastic consent.

What to expect

We begin without touch, allowing each person to arrive in their own physical space and notice what they are experiencing in their body. From that grounded place, we establish our shared agreements and move into facilitated exercises designed to help participants practice asking, receiving, declining, negotiating, and changing their minds.

The workshop gradually unfolds through:

  • Grounding and embodied awareness
  • Shared consent and community agreements
  • Guided communication and boundary exercises
  • Practice giving and receiving authentic “yes” and “no”
  • Opportunities to make clear, specific requests
  • Optional one-on-one and small-group connection
  • Optional, consensual community cuddling
  • Closing reflection and integration

Every activity is an invitation rather than an obligation. You are always encouraged to participate at the level that feels right for you.

Touch is always optional

You never have to touch or be touched.

There is no single “right” way to participate. Meaningful participation may include practicing verbal communication, observing an exercise, resting in your own space, connecting without physical contact, staying close to someone you came with, or spending time in the Solitude Zone.

Saying no, changing your mind, pausing, and choosing not to participate in an activity are all respected and welcomed forms of participation.

Our core agreements

To help create a clear and caring container, participants agree that:

  • Everything is optional.
  • You never owe anyone a “yes.”
  • We honor the Solitude Zone.
  • Clothes remain on throughout the event.
  • We ask for and receive a clear verbal “yes” before touching anyone.
  • A “maybe” is treated as a “no.”
  • Everyone may change their mind at any time.
  • Requests are made clearly and specifically.
  • Each person’s boundaries, privacy, and relationship agreements are respected.
  • Facilitator support is available throughout the workshop.

These agreements will be reviewed together before any partnered activities begin.

Who is Community Cuddles for?

Community Cuddles welcomes people of all genders, orientations, relationship statuses, body types, and levels of experience who would like to practice embodied consent and boundaries, build confidence communicating their desires and needs, explore safe, nonsexual platonic touch, and experience greater connection, choice, and belonging in a carefully facilitated environment.

You are welcome to attend alone, with a friend, or with a partner.

No previous experience with consent workshops, somatic practices, or community cuddling is needed.

You do not need to be naturally outgoing, comfortable with strangers, or certain that you want to cuddle.

This is a platonic, nonsexual environment centered on consent, communication, and respectful human connection. It is not a dating, hookup, massage, or therapeutic touch event.

Arrival

Doors open at 2:30 p.m., giving you time to check in, settle into the space, and become comfortable before we begin promptly at 3:00 p.m.

Because the opening agreements and consent instruction establish the foundation for the entire workshop, please plan to arrive during the check-in period and be ready to begin together at 3:00.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and relax. Additional preparation details will be provided after registration. Feel free to brink a snack to share.
